Last weekend, Viva Fest presented a concert at the newly named SAP Center. Every year, Mexican Heritage Corp. produces a month of festivities, and this event is one of the highlights. World-class mariachi is always on the bill, but this year they added a new wrinkle by also inviting one of the world’s great operatic tenors, Mexican star Fernando de la Mora, to join Symphony Silicon Valley and Mariachi Sol de Mexico in a concert of Mexican art songs — the romance of Mexico.
